Nursing sciences will cover Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Psychiatric! My favourites!

Modules like Ethnics, Laws And HealthCare, Nursing Sciences 3 and 4, Psychology and Sociology 2 and last but not least Nursing Skills in relation to person as a whole, medication administration in particular and lots and lots of procedures! Its going to be a challenging semester...

My practical classmates remain the same! Luckily...
However, there was a change in tutorial groups! May need sometime to get used to it...

Our BIG Day has finally arrived!

Its my WEDDING! "Im Married to Christ!"+ BIRTHDAY "A day of celebration!"+ FUNERAL! "A renewed me!"

The reason behind BAPTISM...
Sin has a bondage (John 8:34) and when a person has the “remission of sins,” he is set free from the bondage of sin which causes death (Romans 6:23).

Baptism is to wash away or cleanse one of sin and, thus, frees one from the bondage of sin.
For this reason, Peter on the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus answered the question, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” by telling them to “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins...” (Acts 2:37-38). And Saul of Tarsus was told to “arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22:16).

Thus, baptism is the new birth of water and of the Spirit that gives entrance into the kingdom of God — the church as Jesus taught Nicodemus in John 3:3-5. Amen! A ticket to heaven! How wonderful!

the praise and worship songs, testimonies shared by JianMing and Kelvin and Pastor How's sermon on 7 Thing I Hate about Christianity and 7 Things I loved about Christianity was really something unexpected! Really analytical and powerful!

At the last part of the service, the people who are going to be baptised, total strength 69 of us, were called out one by one to the front to read the apostle's creed with Pastor How.

Next, we went to get ourselves ready for BAPTISM!

Madeleine VS Megan!

A new life. A new beginning. Unleashing...

To be honest to say...It was really a tough choice choosing a baptism name between Madeleine and Megan!

The meaning of these 2 names are as follows:

Madeleine - In the bible, Mary Magdalene in fact means Mary of Magdala. Madeleine is a French form of Magdala, which was a village on Lake Galilee. Mary received this name to distinguish her from others of the same name, as she 'had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities'. She was a follower of Jesus.

Just before the voting system, I saw XueJun taking this quiz in Facebook and I decided to give it a try too! So...

Whew! Today was the last day of our attachment which makes it the closure for year 1 le! Wow! It seems like I just enter poly yesterday laa!

Attachment was... having a great time communicating with the elderly as we were posted to the geriatric ward! As I was assigned to the female cubicles, I just enjoyed talking to the ah mahs! They are just so cute! Seeing the smiles on their wrinkled faces never failed to remove my tiredness! It acts like a "medicine" to me and brightens up my day! It was just pure joy serving them! But there are times where heart wrenching stories sets in and makes me feel like crying.
There was an ah mah, who wanted so much to go home and resort to ways like climbing out of the bed etc. , just anything she could think of, to get out from the hospital . And what happens was that she has 13 children and none of them wants to take care of her! It was just saddening!
I have a few patients who are a 100 year old laa! How did they managed to live till 100 laa! I should have asked them for old aging remedies! Im gonna miss them all!

The staffs in ward 7D are really friendly and nice people to work with! Im really glad to have learn from them and receive their guidance too! And not to forget...

my FRIENDS in this attachment group! I enjoyed SUPER much working with them too! Awesome guys!

Mass Casualty Exercise at CGH!

At Changi General Hospital yesterday, there was a mass casualty exercise and the nursing students from various institutions, NP, NYP, NUS participated as the "Casualties" in this exercise!

We got scenarios, as in a casualty tag + card scenario with a picture of the injured part of the body. In my scenario, I was acting as the patient who requires immediate attention as I got "head injury". The doctor placed a cervical collar on my neck, intravenous drip and "intubation" ( tube inserted into the airway for breathing) Never really do laa...but stimulated de...Firstly, Winah, Lydia and I are sent from the ambulance and after the ambulance arrived to the emergency department, we were brought by a trolley and be washed by the sprinkle nozzles as it is an re-enactment of a chlorine gas explosion! After which, I was transferred to the bed trolley and many nurses and doctors attended to me and brought me to the P1 section, which is a section which requires immediate treatment...I can see that the nurses, doctors and portals are quick and efficient in handling the "cases"! The whole thing seems so real!

The whole exercise reminds me of playing mamasak, children playing doctor and nurses. Then I was supposed to be brought to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit as I was "intubated" but as there are no spaces in the SICU, I was brought to the Endoscopy Centre, where they transferred me to the bed again with the patslide and took my vital signs.

My real blood pressure reading was 110/62 which was quite good...just that the diastolic of 62 is a bit low... My respiration keep fluctuating and I was lying there with the cervical collar for almost 1+ hour laa! I started to get bored and I observed the equipments they used on me. I tried to hold my breathe to observe my pulse and oxygen level! I realised dat it doesn't really affect the reading! haha!~ Urinary Catheter requisites and intravenous cannula are supposed to be inserted on a real case of a head injury patient. As the curtains are screened, I heard leakage of air and I thought i was from the machine but the sound was so constant and guess wad??? Somebody who acted as the patient fell asleep in the bed and he was SNORING laa! Den the doctor, nurses, sister and I were laughing at the snoring guy! It was hilarious! The guy was so comfortable with the bed at the Endoscopy Centre! Really LOL!~

I decided to give e astronomy overnight star gazing a miss halfway through and headed to church...I suddenly thought of MinTing and ask if she wants to go to church! God's plan never fails! She was deciding whether to go or not... and she went with me! After service, actually I wanted to buy some stuff with my sister before dinner... Minting's mum called and said dat dey are gg to Ikea for dinner and we went to Ikea for dinner too!

We ate our favourite norms!

Met Minting's family...Her parents are nice and her sisters resembled her! The 3 of us had a hearty chat till we were the last few to leave before Ikea close laa! Haha!~ And Oops! The time was too late for me to buy le! But I think it was quite a nice gathering with Minting and my 妹! :):)

My 姑姑 called us and said dat my grandma was getting better le!

Thank God! Thank God! :D:D

Her stroke, fortunately was just a mild one!

Though doctors found streaks of blood in her brain through the scan, it only affects her speech, which became slurred and some movements, which tends to be a little weaker...

Thank you guys for your prayers!

Prayers can be so powerful!

How naive can I be...

Im so angry with myself...

I couldn't help my grandma at all...

If only...

But the Ifs in life never came true...

Why does it happens this way...

She suffered a lot...

Ever since she got married...her life was miserable...

and she told me and my sisters abt how she was treated in the past...

I broke into tears when I heard abt her story...like a cinderella but with no happy ending, worse than a maid...

Her husband passed away and left her with 4 young children...

Life was definitely not easy for her...

She scrimped and save...

Worked really really hard...

Just to give the best to her children....

Her principles in which she sticked to, closely, I guess contributes to part of what really happens too...

I hope she will get well very very soon...

Leeches on Franchesca's pants! I got bitten by leeches too! :(

As leeches affects the blood coagulation, it takes a longer time for the blood to stop. Almost 3/4 of my socks kana stained with my blood! At first when I saw the leeches, I screamed my lungs out! But thanks to ALL my friends and Dr Alpana ( She screamed too! It was funny to see a doctor, as well as a teacher screaming and jumping! Hahaa!~) who were there with me, they helped me to remove the leeches one by one! ot log after dat, I started removing the leeches by myself, which thought, was a great achievement for me! I overcame my fear of leeches! Im so proud of myself! :D

Den Dr Alpana lead us to sing " Row, row, row you raft, gently down the stream, Merrily, merrily, merrily merrily, life is like a dream!" It was a nice rafting experience!

Went to Lydia's house to play with her sister and discuss about what to bring to Endau Rompin! There's lots of things to bring laa! Then i accompany her to see a doctor becos of eyes irritation from super OBVIOUS cause rite? Lydiawati! Just pluck it out laa! That's the price to pay from being pretty! Be compliant to the application of eye drops and you will get well soon before the trip to Malaysia! :) yUpps!~

Den we went to Daiso @ IMM to get some miscellaneous stuffs for the trip! Den went back to Lydia's house! Her mummy cooked really nice squids with the thick spices gravy and soup! I love it! And the omelette with onion was cooked by Lydia! (the taste is so-so only) Haha!~ Kidding~

Went to meet my mei, Minting and Zoe to shop @ Queensway and Anchorpoint!

And we happened to saw cute guinea pigs and hamsters! There's 2 guinea pigs whose fur is green de laa!So rare and stylish! I want it! How I wish we can have it as our CG pet! It will be so cool laa! Everyone of us can invest on it and we can rotate caretakers within the cell every week! But of cos there are many considerations to it laa! Must replenish its food supply and if its sick must bring to doctor etc. Quite troublesome...Hmm...Better not laa! I got some stuff for myself too! Went to Ikea to eat again! Haha!~ CHEESECAKE!!! MY FAV!!! + meatballs + chicken wings which I will never get tired of!

When to school for Endau Rompin Debrief on the Do's and Dont's with lots of activities lining up for us! wEE!~

I have done some research on the place...

Endau Rompin National Park is a protected tropical rainforest in Malaysia. It is an area south of the state of Pahang and to the northeast of Johor covering an approximate area of 870 km², effectively making it is the second largest national park in Peninsular Malaysia after Taman Negara, with approximately 26 km of trail. It is the second national park proclaimed by the government of Malaysia.
The park is one of the oldest tropical rainforest complexes in the world and features rock formations some 248 million years old. Extracted from Wiki.

Its gonna be so exciting! Mr Rashid is coming with us! He's a funny guy! My siao char bor friends will be going as well! There's gonna be laughter everywhere laa! Coming up in 4 days time! Having an upclose experience with nature! Looking SO forward to it! YES!

Oh yar...after the briefing I went to collect my prize for the Ngee Ann Survey...I got a $5 Co-op voucher! More junkies for me! yEah!~

AI Conference + Amway trip + Dinner @ Ikea!

These 3 days of Affluence Influence Conference were enriching and I learnt a lot from it!

And yes, its a blessing to give than to receive!

And guess wad? Lester was so happy to bless us and wanted to buy toys for Antho and me laa!

Its the thought dat counts Lester! Thanks anyway!

I think im side tracking...and back to the seminar thingy...yupp. We were showed video clips on the community works dat our church adopt in Myanmar, Philippines and Singapore! Heard many heart wrenching stories about children who came from broken families, physically abused and suffered a lot for survival even to the extend of digging the rubbish dumps for food! OMG! Really tragic! But finally, by the grace of God, they got into the orphanage where they experienced true love and warmth all over again! Through the teachings in orphanages, the children learnt how to trust people again which is no easy task. Through the interviews, they expressed their happiness and gratitude. I want to go on a mission trip to visit them!

After the seminar, Derry's friend, David brought us to the Amway company to see see look look.
MinTing came and joined us too! It was nice having her around! yEa~ Then we had our weight, BMI and other results taken! The results showed dat "Uncle Teo" and Derry had the most visceral fats of 6 and 7 laa! Ohh man! Spare tyre over at the tummy doesn't seems like a good thing! They need to exercise le!

Needless to say, Kenneth, Tommy and Gabriel only had a visceral fat level of 1 laa! Hahaa!~

After dat, we went to Ikea for dinner! CHEESECAKE!!! Yum yum! I loved the meatballs too! Minting, Zoe and I shared chicken wings, poached salmon and meatballs! We had a nice chat while eating too!

Imagine sun- tanning without the sun! And that was what happens yesterday!

Sharon and I wanted to sun tan but there was no sun! :( LoL!~ It was a cloudy day!

No sunshine! :(

But it was kind of cool just to lie @ the cushion @ Cafe Del' Mar to indulge in a glass of ice lemon tea while relaxing, enjoying the sound of the breeze with the jazzy music! It was a nice place for sleeping too! We had some hearty chat too! The atmosphere was nice! Waiting for Sharon to send me the pics!

Den we played volleyball @ the beach! There are 2 instances where Im supposed to hit the ball to sharon and the volleyball nearly land on 2 people sun taning when it bounces and luckily it bounce over them only laa! Whew~ And another time was that I hit the ball into Cafe Del' Mar! Luckily never tio anyone who were relaxing on the cushions! What a close shave again!

Szemin cooked soup and pasta for Eileen and me today! So sweet of her! Her cooking skills are quite good! Not bad eh,Szemin! Next time can cook for Henry le! The future potential housewife! No need maid le laa! Haha!~

The food was quite okay only...i will give...eh...6/10*! So-so only laa! Den we went to Parklane Mall, to the LAN shop to the play left 4 dead!

I thought it was scary at first! But after playing for a while, I kind of like the game le! Tink it was damn cool to be able to kill the zombies laa! Piang piang!~ and their bodies broke into pieces with blood splattered all over the place! But in the end I die in the game laa! My team members never save me! :(:( The smoker killed "me!"

Den we went over for the Rochor famous tau huay shop! As the place was too small, we were directed to this dark alley to eat Tau Huay! LoL!~

So all we could see are just lizards crawling around the walls! Quite a different experience! It was overall still a great day indeed! :):)

Went to watch Slumdog millionaire with Lina at night!

The movie title doesn't sounds attractive and nice to watch rite...but you know what?

The film received the Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Director, along with six other Academy Awards.Slumdog Millionaire was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won eight, the most for any film that year! It also won five Critics' Choice Awards, four Golden Globes, and seven BAFTA Awards, including Best Film. Wow wow wow! So die die must watch it!

I will give it 9.5/10 *! 0.5 is deducted because its a little hard to pick up the language, a mixture of tamil + english... I loved the storyline!

A ray of hope!

It tells the story of a boy called Jamal from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? ( in the Hindi version) which was too much of a coincidence. But in any case its only a fictional movie mah..hahhaa~

But overall it was a good movie as it depicts on how he overcame the trials courageously with determination and exceeds people's expectations, arousing suspicions of the game show host and of law enforcement officials.

It also interestingly evolves the rich indian cultures at the slum area and the magnificent Taj Mahal! It also includes an actual truth on how children in some parts of India are abducted and were asked to work as beggars.

A love story blossomed in the movie too! The undying love...aWwW...

Happily ever after!

Strongly recommended for YOU to watch! The ticket is really worth-ing its price! Can jio me to watch for a second time! I don mind to watch all over again cos its really super, extremely damn nice! I want to watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons too!

Hello guys! I'm back blogging again! Just finished my exams today (as at 24th) ! Finally! So happy laa!
Thank you for all the sweet wishes for my exams! Really appreciate all your wishes lots! Love ya guys! :-* mUacks!~
Will be having my 3 weeks of holidays first before attachment @ TTSH! wEE!~

But let me share with you some secret tips of mine for those who are having exams soon! It works for me laa...but don noe if it works for you all or not...? Anyway...This was what I did!

1. Take a power nap before doing revisions.
2. Before every revision, try to write down what you know about all the stuff on the chapter (targeted to study) so that you can reinforce on the previous knowledge encoded in your brain!
3. Make small notes for easier reference! (its 100% effective for me!)
4. Be friends to junkies! My mouth is super itchy when doing revision! Donoe why! Have you experience it before? My top few favourite junkies are Tao Kae Noi (Tom yam de!), Ritz cheese, Ruffles! (Sour cream and onion!)... There's more for you to find out! Hahaa!~
Don't ever remind me of something I shouldn't be reminded of! Thanks ah!
5. Drink coffee with sugarsss+++ if you can't stand bitter like me!

Anyway, I was asked to go down to school to collect my prize... Donoe wads the prize yet! So mysterious! Hmm...Donoe worth the trip or not! Hahahaa!~

To celebrate 雨过天晴, where rainbow is seen, Felicia, Jeannette and me went to Vivo for a feast @ Asian kitchen! Wonder where was the rest of the soft shell crabs on the top left hand corner of the dish?
Answer: In our stomach! We couldn't resist le!
The food was not bad! I will give it 7/10 (might not be very accurate as we were all hungry!) Hahaa! We ate to our heart's content!

Im as happy as a lark! Gonna enjoy myself like mad during this 3 weeks of holidays laa! WoOhOo!

He was a friendly and outgoing guy. He was the overall nightwalk in charge for the A&E Camp and with much carefulness, he makes sure that everything goes smoothly and successfully...

Despite his injury he got before the camp, he didn't care less. His wound with scabs would crack with fresh blood oozing from his wound. But still, he went all out, patrolling the areas...

His condition deteriorate. He left us yesterday.

His contributions to astronomy will never be forgotten.

Skipped astronomy today, planned to study at 1st but changed my mind after that! Went to watch Bride Wars with Baoling, Felicia, Jeanette and JieBin! A really nice show to watch! 7 out of 10 stars! Highly recommended to watch! Their gowns are really pretty and glamorous laa! Girls would love it!

It was about 2 besties, Emma and Live who got married on the same day and becos of that, their relationship turned sour and their preparation for their wedding went terribly disasterous! But in the end they realised ruining each other's wedding did not make them much happier and starts to treasure this valuable friendship once more! Funny at times! yEa~

This was our last outing before mugging! Exams are coming very very soon! 2 weeks from now! I got to start revising le! To all my friends whose exams are coming soon, 加油加油!

We also went for heritage tours and doing projects to earn our badges! i was a staff sergent then laa! Super cool! Really enjoyed the good old days with the girls!

Today was the last day for Sports and Wellness - Dancesport! Sad or happy? Well...Its kind of a mixed feeling...We learnt the whole series of jive and cha cha within 10 lessons! The satisfaction was there when we realised we got all the series and steps in place!

Today we learnt advanced cha cha with variations whereby we need to stand in a circle facing our partners and did the standard chacha and after the chain of steps, we got to change partners, dance again and change partners again! It really test our techniques of dancing! It was really fun!

Melvin was a really patient, nice and funny dance instructor! If you all have seen PSC night variety show or in some competitions, he was dancing with a girl named Sharon for dancesport representing Singapore! He taught us well and we enjoyed all his lessons! Oh yes...and if you all find him familiar, he resemble a guy named EnLai, a channel 5 comedy actor...yupp~

Crazy outing with crazy people!

Went out with Fabian, Gab, Kenneth, Miao, my 妹 to Jurong Point yesterday at 11.30 to watch a movie. The movies are limited as tickets were selling fast! As some of them watched inkheart and red cliff, we watched The Wedding Game starring Fann Wong and Christopher Lee! And guess wad? the show was @ 2am! It means that we got 2.5 hours to go! Nevermind...we thought of going "Window Shopping!" and wad we need to do was just to peep inside the shops! Haha!~
We found a place and had a hearty chat. They were sharing abt their New Year visitations which was funny laa! Fabian was really mean and naughty! He keep showing off his angbaos to me and my mei cos we ONLY have 4 angbaos and wanted to count his money in front of us!

We wanted to eat Mac actually but the place was like sauna laa! Cos the aircon of JP was completely shut off.

We end up eating this! On the overhead bridge!

It was a nice experience though! Really breezy!

Say cheese! Miaow finally got all our faces after 10 tries!

Likhoon had her 21st birthday BBQ celebration @ West Coast Park!

Met Winah earlier and went to her house for lunch! Her mummy cooked Nasi Lemak and the sambal chilli was good! Her daddy was a joker laa! Funny guy! Den after getting the marinated chicken and coleslaw ready, we are ready to go!

Took a taxi together to west coast park @ abt 6 to get everything ready. We pumped balloons, hang up the silver frills, not forgetting the "Happy Birthday" sign! Nice rite?

Next time if you guys need help to do up the decorations, don't hesitate to give me a call! The charges are reasonable esp to those who know me! Discounts will automatically be given!

As we started to get hungry while waiting for them, we ate some samosas that Lydia made! She's good with samosas! Taste really great! We ate some coleslaw as well! Today things didn’t turn out as well as expected. What to do?
Everything couldn't be smooth sailing and just got to treat it as a lesson learnt!

No mood to dance chacha today but still got to dance for the makeup lesson cos we missed out 3 lessons due to PHs! This is the last part of chacha where the steps get complicated! But it turns out good as we managed to master the whole chacha dance! WoW! It took almost 1.5 sem, once a week to master a chacha dance and finally it ends here! A mirror reflection of us dancing the whole series of chacha was really nice! Amazingly talented us! LoL!~ There is still a last part to jive. 2 more lessons to go!

Today we had our SaWi presentation. So we met at 8+ for our last touch up + rehearsal!

As we are doing on Terrorism, we thought of this whole idea to make this presentation interesting and comical! We really laughed throughout the whole rehearsal! We had our full dress rehearsal in an open area which attracts all the attention from passer bys! Really embarrassing laa but it was fun and amusing!

A day in JB, City Square!

In the morning,I went with my 妹 to JB! 我们长大了! Cos all along we went there with my mummy and daddy de. But this time, we were on our own! Yeah!~ The new custom is big and nice! From there, going to City Square is not a problem! The is a straight link into the Shopping Centre! Very convenient! Met WanRing there and we went to a Hong Kong restaurant for our brunch! We love food!

Den we went to eat the milk chocolate snowflake dessert and we continued shopping again!

Went to City Plaza with Jeannette after service! There are LOTS and LOTS of clothings there laa! From children's clothings to Ah Mah's clothings! I can bring my popo there to buy her New Year clothings liao! It was kind of the 1st time there and the clothings there looks like those at bugis... Supplier for some clothings at Bugis...We end up buying vests for ourselves! It was pretty laa! We shopped till we never eat dinner! Oops* Girls are just girls! Shopping is our everything! wEe~ Haha!
Then Gab msg me and told me they were on the 2nd floor. I was on the 2nd floor too! While Jeannette is trying a top, i was msging Gab halfway, when I smelt the fried chicken! I tot it might be the promoters eating or just wondering they might be passing through and TRUE enough, I saw Kenneth and Miaow! They were eating at the corner right in front of the shop we are at! Haha! I should have called the security laa...Illegal gathering eating Arnolds'! LoL!~

My mummy is baking pineapple tarts now! It tastes heavenly! Nicer than the ones sold! Can open shop to sell le!

Im going to pop more pieces + curry cooked by my mummy for "dinner" le! That's all for tonight! :):)

It was just, just now...When I was taking bus 75 to Winah's house. Den I felt a tug from my skirt! It was a little ang moh boy tugging my skirt...Den i move further away. He start to stretch his hands further and tug my skirt again! I moved to a seat behind the boy. I was tinking at that moment...A pervertic little guy! He started to figit in his seat and he lose his balance and fell to the floor! Haha! Winah and Lydia saw what happen and we laughed! I did that " orh bi quek" action to Winah and Lydia, who are sitting opposite me! Den the little boy turned back and said to me, "Why are you laughing at me?" Den i say "no..." Den all the strangers behind me saw what happen and started LoL at me too laa! I was damn paiseh lor! A joke of myself for the day! So embarrassing laa! I donoe where to hide my face after that le! Went to Winah's house...Den go to Giant to buy dinner for a Tom-Yam cup noodle feast + Ruffles! In the end...It was me who finished 3/4 of the Ruffles laa! Shit!* Donoe how much calories it contains! Yesterday my mummy went for her company's D&D and I mentioned earlier that the theme was Retro! So she went to style up her hair and when she came home, my sisters and I could not stop laughing! So bad of us right? But really cannot control mah...But I think she is really daring to dress! She was actually the kind who is the conservative type de...I really think she looked 20 years younger after the make over!

Met WanRing, May, Hope, Hongyan to do our Sawi project @ the atrium! We managed to finish about 3/4 of our work today! It feels like the load is much lighter! Muffin was actually very clever and he can really follow instructions! He sent Liddy to work and went home himself! Really intelligent kitty! Differ so much from my Skittles! How I wish Skittles can do that too!

Liddy's little sister and brother were fun to play with! Her little sister likes to play with my hair! I can predict her future - A future hairstylist! She combs and plaits my hair! Really sweet of her!

Liddy's mummy treats me to her specialty - Chicken rice! It was SEDAP! The fried chicken was super nice laa! So I end up eating 2 bowls of rice! Gosh!~

Pastor How preached on directions of living a christian life. The lesson was really analytical and powerful! I received cards from Joy and Fion today! Really sweet of them!~ Thanks Girls! You guys are awesome too! :D
When Pastor How mentions that children growing in a christian family can also get Kawasaki's disease in relation to the death of John Travolta's son..Sometimes I really don't know how to explain to my friends that christians also goes through trials and not everything is smooth sailing for us too! At the moment...I do not have any answers to that yet.

NP Openhouse!

Today is the 2nd day of the Openhouse! The openhouse is a 3 days event from 8th to 10 Jan. Quite 热闹 ! It really livens up the atmosphere of the whole nursing block with all the songs!

Anyway, we went to peek and see what they are doing. There are sections of exhibitions as well as hand-ons for you to try and get a feel of what nursing is all about!

My sister came too but didn't get to see her cos I was having lessons! laa.My sister told me "How come most of the guys in your school have long hair which looks like Paul Twohill!" Hmm...which was quite true laa! Maybe this is the next IN thing for guys?

When did Joel switched from a Nurse-to-be --> Optometrist? Betrayer! hahaha!~

Interesting! Their modules are tougher and more than nursing lor. I thought ours will be the toughest as compared to the rest! They also need to learn Anatomy and Physiology even though their focus is on the EYES only! They have a mathematics module on Mathematics too! Nursing don need...~ Hahaha~ Do you know how much is the pay of an optometrist? At least $2000+ lor! Its definitely more than a staff nurse pay! Thinking what Im thinking? A job switched! But in any case I don have the interest to be an opto. Haha! Nursing still rocks! When we were eating sweet corn, someone with a mask went near us and appeared behind WanRing! She shouted really loud laa! LoL!~

The sky was cloudy and the moon went to hide too! Sadd-ed! So in the end, we went to astro room to slack! Felicia found some pictures of the Orion Nubula, Andromeda Galaxy and many more which was taken in Ngee Ann last time! It was a pretty sight! The wonders of the night sky tells stories! Then we looked at some photos of the previous camp activities too! Saw my senior Wilson and Yew Tee inside...They looked so different! Haha!
After that,when I got home, the few blocks around our area was in total darkness! Blackout!~

Went out with my mummy to Jurong Point just now! My mummy's going for her D&D this coming sat with a theme - Retro! The Jurong Point extension is ENORMOUS! GIGANTIC! MAMMOTH! There are lots of shops! I tink next time no need to travel at the way to town le! It was like a typical "orchard" in the west area! We lakesiders lead a fast pace of life too OKAYYYYY!
We walked around and my mummy tried quite a number of dresses! Then we saw a really retro dress and my mummy went to try. So what happens was that the price was very "pretty" too! $258! Faintz!~ We went to BYSI and our gaze fell on a retro dress! It was stunning when my mummy tried it on! It looks really nice on her! Like my 姐妹 like that! Whew-Wit!~ Im sure she will attract lots of attention on that day! Haha! My daddy might be jealous lor! HoHoHo!

It has been quite sometime since we went out together! After our lessons, which ended @ 4, Winah, Lydia and I went to Cityhall Link, Raffles City and Penisular to jalan jalan. It was really fun hanging out with them and I enjoyed their company loads! Though we talked and laughed like nobody's business, which kind of attracted attention from the public! :-X Lols! We went to Long John to buy our dinner and ate at the Esplanade near the riverside! It was a unique experience! After that, we went to Chocoz to buy choco-coated strawberries! It was yummi-licious! So it was like 6 strawberries for $5...yup! It was too tempting for us to resist!

Just look @ this 2 monkeys! They really throw my face in public! So childish of them! hahah! *Shake head*

Food of heaven and earth!

Today, I tasted something heavenly and something awful! My friends and I went to The Makan Place,which is a newly opened canteen in NP! The place was damn big laa! They have subway and a cafe-like stall which sells waffles! The place was super crowded too and we didn't manage to find a place. So in the end, we ta bao the food to Blk 50 to eat. I bought Tonkatsu Don! It was excellent! The pork was tender in the inside and crispy on the outside! It was nicer than the other canteens at NP! ********8 out of 10 stars!
Then for my dinner with my friends, I ate Char Kuey Teow at one part of Serangoon, which taste really bad! The hum doesn't taste fresh at all! I suspect its the auntie's daughter who cooked the food! Cos Jeremy also bought the food from them, cooked by a 6-7 year old girl! The girl is quite sensible to help her mummy to cook...which was very fillal but hor...erm...for people to eat ...still requires more practice! Practice makes perfect mah...So for the kuey teow...I will have to give her only *2 out of 10 stars...Good try though! But in the end I finish a little more than 1/2 only...My stomach feels very uncomfortable eating...I hope my stomach won't give me trouble tonight!

I went to BaoLing's house after school and played with her nephew! Her nephew was really adorable! He smiles most of the time! He'S not afraid of people de lor. After I went into the house, he started to crawl to me! He really smiles to the photo shots! Look at 7 of his newly grown teeth! Super cute ZhiYu!

Im back to school again! WoOhOo! So happy to see my friends but it would be routine life once again! Projects piling up one by one, presentations are unavoidable.And this time, we will be learning about the largest part of our organ! Know what is that? The Skin! It will be so interesting but complicated!

Not forgetting other modules consisting Cell and Molecular Biology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Nursing Skills, Nursing Research and Pharmacology too! FaintZ~ This term is gonna be tough and short! HaiZz! What to do? This is just poly life! I think I will be the next roasted chicken laa!Today I had my Sports and Wellness - Dance Sport! Our dance instructor, Melvin thought us a new dance called Jive! The steps are very fast to follow. He showed us the steps and we followed along to the beat "1,2,3 a 4, 3 a 4...3 a 4...1,2,3 a 4...3 a 4...3 a 4..."He says we dance like we were stepping on ants! =.= But it was somehow true laa! Haha! The dance was like taking little steps in a row...Something like skipping and marching at the same time with turning and spinning for the ladies! So the turning and spinning was done only by ladies! So unfair! Haha! I got so dizzy after that! Melvin says, this jive dance can help to lose weight! Oh my gosh! Did i heard wrongly? It is true! He says, 2 minutes of jive is equivalent to a 800m run! Wow! Unbeliveable rite? So to all the girls out there, if you want to lose weight, sign up for jive classes!

This few days, I was in this drama serial craze! Little Nonya! I was busily catching up the episodes that I have missed out before! Jeannette told me it has been uploaded online! I was super happy laa! I love the storyline, the plot, the climax and everything about it! To me, it was a nonya-style of Cinderella revolving how the other girls who are jealous of her beauty and her fine skills in cooking (e food looks so delicious and appetitizing!) and beadworks! It also shows how she was badly treated, making her the scapegoat and blaming her for things she didn't do! She was a kindhearted lady who didn't give up in times of difficulties, perservered and overcame the problems! *****5 over 5 stars! Ethos!

Today,I learnt a new word "Ethos!" It was a greek word which is closely related to emotions in the community. It also signifies the fuel of caring. And indeed, I can really sense the work of Ethos in the Heart Of God church! It is by the grace of God in which I see, that bonds the people as one. I believe this year, God will do marvellous things in our lives! There can be miracles when you believe!

Happy New Year, Everyone! Wow! A new year 2009 has come! I hope that it will be a year filled with happiness and challenges!
My countdown this year takes place @ Chompx2 hawker with Alvin, Ben and Sky! Sad thing Minghui is very tired after a hard day's work...and so she didn't meet us... It will be so great if she could make it though! Haha! So I ended up yum seng-ing with 3 BIG jugs of sugar cane and having a hearty bbq supper! Something new! Haha! Thanks guys for celebrating the new year with me! After supper, I saw my bestie, SzeMin with her boyfriend and 2 other guys! Super qiao laa! We were just wishing each other Happy New Year by sms a few minutes before that! We didn't even ask each other where we are! Haha! So after a nice chat with my friends, I met SzeMin and stayed over at her house.I had a great time catching up with her after a long time since we last met!

Hmm... and my new year resolution for this year? Well...
1. I hope I can pass all my modules with flying colours!
in order to fulfill this wish , I need to study very hard!
2. Learn a new skill! Rollerblading! It will be so cool laa! Haha!
3. Be involved in serving a Ministry!
4. I need to stop eating supper and cut down on chocolates! Don't laugh at me!
5. Everyone will stay happy and healthy!
There will be more...will add on when it comes to my mind!

The highlights of year 2008 are of course the December holidays which started from the 13th dec. I went to KL during this time to visit my relatives and cousins...We had fun hanging out in Petaling Street, which sells lot of fake branded goods...I bought a coach wallet which costs $45 and know what? We really haggle and haggle and in the end I bought it at $20. We are not aunties.But this is how it works...They wanted to make profits from tourists. We went to Sungei Wang and Berjaya Times Square to shop too and bought some clothes which were very cheap!

To start off...This is my 1st time blogging! Now den start to blog...Very Sua Ku rite? haha!

2008 - a year of rollercoaster rides for me.
From the starting of the year beginning with attachment -> graduation -> working life was a great transformation. 2 years is quite long, but it was not short either! But I missed the days in ITE with my friends like Sheryn, Winah, Sahida and all the other girls i knew...

Reminiscing through the days of ITE, I realised that I had been well equipped with nursing skills! Wow! That is what I have always wanted to be - a nurse filled with compassion to serve others and providing them with the best care within my abilities... Im an enrolled nurse already! Omg!

Yes! A nurse to be!

I was enthralled as well as scared. Im about to enter the working world before advancing for further studies in Ngee Ann... Scary! I went to apply for KKH...But there was no news for about 2 weeks...so...to prevent myself from rotting...I applied for a post to work as an agency nurse...

The difference between an agency nurse and a nurse in hospital is that...no doubt the pay is higher...but there are no CPF contributions...actually i don mind having lesser pay with CPF cos i can be richer when im old! Haha! But of course, there are risks working as an agency nurse...If anything went wrong, I must hold all the reponsibilities alone! Alone you know! *Chills went down my spine!* Choy Choy laa! But we always need to think of the worse case scenario mah...haha! A nurse who thinks critically must learn how to anticipate problems! That is what we learn from school! Correct? NP future missies? So in the end I was offered a place in NUH... Ward 64...A discipline of gastro and endocrine...yup. But guess what! On that day after i signed the contract, KKH called! But it was too late:(

Life in NUH was not bad! The sisters and staffs are nice! The best part of working is to see the patients' condition improving day by day, chatting with them and of course to see the smiles on their faces! It was very heartwarming and sweet. There is where my satisfaction comes from! But everything had not been smooth sailing either. Death in hospitals are unavoidable...I constantly remind myself that it is just part and parcel of life...Everyday, there are babies born and people dying. We just need learn how to accept it. There were stuff which were new to me but with the help of the staff, i managed to learn a lot from them and they really guided me through my period of working! I couldn't thank them enough! This is only part 1 of my 2008 summary! There's more to come! Stay tune! :):)
